Hi Welcome to the Prashant R. Kuranjekar's website (onedayiwill.info). Well first of all, I would like to introduce myself with the academic background. I have done schooling from Kendriya vidyalaya Jawaharnagar Bhandara, and did engineering from GCOEP (Government college of Engineering, Pune). I worked for 2 years in India as design engineer. I have finished MS(Master of science) from Germany in 2006. In the mid 2006, I have got the assistantship from NASA funded projects to pursue MS from University of California, Irvine and was working on NASA funded project from august 2006 onwards. I am working in T.Y.Lin International in Tampa, Florida and simultaneously pursuing Part-time MBA from University of south Florida.
My interest in MBA program dates back to my school days when I was class captain and class representative for the group of students and managed other activities as a group leader. During higher school, I was managing different activities for the group. Soon thereafter, getting knowledge of management components & problem-solving approach for the different group of people started as a hobby.
Engineering was a natural career choice before entering into a business program. The undergraduate curriculum in Civil Engineering at Government College Of Engineering, Pune, introduced me to a wide gamut of subjects, both in and outside the field. My previous achievements are cleared National Mathematics Olympiad contest, National Talent Search Contest in Mathematics, Science & General Knowledge, participated in Regional Science Exhibition held at Central school & selected for Nationals and presented 5 National Level Technical Paper Presentation. All these things immensely contributed in making me a full fledged engineer and increased my enthusiasm to learn further. I have decided to plunge and entered into Master of Science in ERM (Environmental Resource Management) in Brandenburg University of technology (BTU)-Cottbus, GERMANY through Siemens scholarship. |

At BTU, I have been involved in the Annual cultural Fest as Head of the organizer. I have also taken active part in dramatics and made my contribution to the STURA (Student Parliament) at BTU, as its member and later as the Vice President. I continue to be a member of the Help age Society for poor people, which provides palliative care and excellent education to them. In the year 2006, I was admitted as a MS candidate in University of California, Irvine, USA through the assistantship from the NASA Project.
As a graduate student in the CHRS (Centre of Hydrometeorology and remote sensing), the responsibilities in academic and consulting firm includes design of Water Distribution System, Storm Water drainage system, Sewerage system, Plumbing, Hydraulic design, Feasibility studies, EIA, Watershed processes and calibration , uncertainty and sensitivity analysis in hydrologic models, application of GIS in watershed modeling and analysis. I have a strong background in computer (technical/non technical software) skills. As my resume demonstrates, I have consistently taken the initiative to enhance my skills in the water resources arena, mainly focusing on GIS analysis, Hydrology & hydraulic design and simulations.
I have 6 years of work experience which helps me tremendously in acquiring in depth knowledge of the technical perspective. Throughout my school education, simple attitude, punctuality, hard work, good analyzing power and sincerity are the qualities that helped me face challenges life offered so far. Strong quantitative skills, familiarity with computer applications and experience gained while working on various school projects have helped me to develop sharp analytical abilities and have given me the confidence to tackle advanced problems on a macro level. In addition, the experience gained over 5 years, have developed good interpersonal and communication skills. I look forward to applying these abilities to the immense opportunities available at USF in MBA program.
The aim of my life is to help others from the latest knowledge and practical experience which I have achieved throughout my career. I have started my own charity foundation. "I HAVE A DREAM GOAL charity foundation" works for Street and orphan kids. I raise the funds for their education. I am also working for UNICEF as a fund raising volunteer. To achieve my career goals, I need to learn much more about current developments and techniques in Entrepreneurship, International business, advanced marketing strategy to promote the products through internet with reasonable methods, Economics analysis and some financial aspects and its applications in real world and acquire hands-on experience on supply chain management skills. A Master's Degree will provide me with theoretical understanding, an in depth idea of practical approaches in aiding managerial decision making skills to enable me to develop an expertise in the above mentioned core areas.
However, just from simple observation, I have discovered that an MBA provides a distinct advantage over those without. There is an analytical nature inherent to MBA's which I believe is duplicable only by committing 2-3 years to the academic study of business. I think anyone in my shoes would feel the same. I have selected the M.B.A. program of USF because of its outstanding faculty and research facilities, emphasis on a collaborative learning environment, flexibility in curriculum and a global perspective to various key issues. This university department and reputed faculty members will definitely give me an opportunity to excel in my study. I believe that these will enable me to achieve my career aims in the years to come. I am determined to make a substantial contribution in my chosen field in the next few years and believe that the guidance and facilities provided by your university will further motivate me to fulfill my resolve. To work in a creative and challenging environment using cutting edge technologies where I could constantly learn and successfully deliver solutions to problems which will be possible by good management skills in order to develop my career as a Manager & Leader, where I will be a valuable team member, contributing quality ideas and work for an organization where there is an ample scope for individual as well as organization growth.
So practice, practice and practice before stepping onto the field is the main principle of successful leader. I guess they meant prepare before embarking upon the real thing. I believe that every person is a champion in some or other field and his ultimate goal in life is to find which it is. The years of education determined to maintain the high levels of excellence throughout my career. One look at my resume will reveal that I am serious student throughout my academic career. My quest is incomplete and I deserve a place to work on the opportunity. I am confident that I will match the high standards set by any organization. I hope to become a part of the dynamic culture of any organization, which will give me a leading edge to work effectively in diverse teams and situations. Last but not the least, I have intellect and zeal to offer you, together with a strong desire to excel in the chosen field.
These are the phrases I really believe in, which are as follows:
These are the articles where I have learned some lessons from the courage of these people.

Beggar who gave alms to the poor AHMEDABAD: A beggar on Saturday proved that charity only needs a big heart rather than deep pockets. Khimjibhai Prajapati, 64 and a beggar in Mehsana for a decade, donated clothes to 11 poor hearing and speech-impaired girls at the Shrimati Kesarbai Kilachand School for the Deaf. Rich philanthropists have been a more common sight but it was the first time ever that a beggar had walked into the school to share his savings. It was an unusual sight. An unkempt Khimjibhai in tattered, unwashed clothes, limped through the school gates on crutches and placed the brand new clothes in the hands of 11 eager girls. He had used his savings of Rs 3,000 to buy the clothes. Khimjibhai begs outside the Simandhar Swami Jain Temple in Mehsana and outside the Hanuman Temple. He lives nearby and asks the devotees for alms. So why did he give alms to the unfortunate children at the school? Khimjibhai said, "I just need two meals a day and some money to send back to my ailing wife in Rajkot to cure her ulcers and lung infection. Apart from this, whatever I earn I use to buy food for poor, hungry people. Since a long time I wished to do something for girls and I am happy to donate for them". Khimjibhai used to run a tea stall in Rajkot but escalating prices and shrinking profit margins wreaked huge losses and left him on the streets. His faith in God brought him to Mehsana where he took shelter outside the Jain temple. "Whether rich or poor, one should always try to help the needy," he says. Khimjibhai helped an orphanned girl marry some time ago. Bharat Shah, a trustee of the institution that runs the school, said, "I have never seen such philanthropy in the 35 years of career. He just goes on to prove that the true donor is he who has one roti and shares half with the hungry." One of those who received clothes was Swati Bhagwandas, an orphan who has been at the residential school for years. The 18-year old's eyes shone with happiness. I was working in GROCOS Kommunikationstechnik GmbH to cover educational expenses in Germany apart from the scholorship. I was getting 5 Euros per hr.Mr. Lutz really helped me to cover my expenses and i was able to earn sufficient money to apply for the US education. I have worked in the company for 6 months on a part-time basis as a labor for the electronic equipment. Its tough for me to stand for 8 hours in an assembly line. Sometimes i was really tired and felt dizzines but Now i really think that hardwork really pays off in near future. I will never forget his contribution towards my career. |

I was working in a Yogi restaurant (Cottbus) 36 hrs /week to cover educational expenses. I was getting 4.50 Euros per hr. I was washing dishes, forks, spoons, knives and cleaned retaurant floors. I was almost washing 600 Plates and 800 (spoons, forks, Knives) every day. This was a toughest time for me because i didn't do this kind of work in such a large extent. Due to the lack of German proficiency, I was not able to take the job of waiters. I remember that i got cuts on my hand while washing knives and forks. That moment I thought I should leave this job But I come to know that Whatever I have, I need to come up with a better solution and keep on rolling to cover up the educational expenses.I realized that one day I will see my best days. |

I was working in distributing Cottbus city news paper to cover educational expenses. I was getting 4.50 Euros per hr. I had picked up the news paper and magzines bundles at 4:30 am and dilivered to asked destinations. This was not that tough job as compared to others but it was tough because it was very cold during the winter season. |

I always cherish my achievements and enjoy them each and every moment of my life.
